A few days ago, Ramdhani Yadav, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Sultanganj Nagar Parishad executive officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar as well as the attack on civic body chairperson Raj Kumar Guddu, was killed in a police encounter.
The encounter took place at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday on the Bypass Road, nearly 100 metres from Ramdhani’s residence.
As per reports, DSP Navneet Kumar as well as inspectors Parameshwar and Mrityunjay were injured in the exchange of fire during the operation led by Special Task Force (STF) of Bhagalpur Police.
During the operation, the criminals are said to have opened fire on the police team, while the police team returned fire in which bullets hit Ramdhani’s abdomen. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment and died during treatment.
Meanwhile, in Siwan, police shot at Chhotu Yadav, who has been accused of killing the nephew of a BJP leader.
Earlier, JD(U) national executive president Sanjay Kumar Jha said the developments reflect a strong law and order situation.
“Whoever commits a crime will face the consequences. Only those who wish to live peacefully will remain in Bihar. There is no place for such individuals in Bihar,” he said.
